Intelligent Self-Healing Control Strategy for Active Distribution Network Based on 5G Technology

The distribution network(DN) as the terminal network of the power system is the main approach to absorb distributed generation(DG), such as distributed photovoltaic(PV). The current distribution protection and automation system cannot satisfy the growing demand of DG. In this paper, an intelligent self-healing control strategy for active distribution network is proposed based on 5G technology, which can realize rapid self-healing of DN after a fault through distributed communication between key nodes. Finally, the real-time simulation platform based on RTDS is built, and the test results indicate that different faults lead to different self-healing process. Therefore, the experimental results prove the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
