Demand Response Strategy for Household Energy Systems Considering Various Device Characteristics
This paper develops mathematical models for typical household devices in household energy systems, including interruptible, transferable, and reducible devices. Based on the models, a demand response strategy for a household is proposed to optimize the daily operating costs of the energy system, considering constraints like device sequence constraints, device operation time window constraints, device collision constraints and energy limitation constraints. Guided by time-of-use electricity pricing from the grid, the strategy effectively schedules various devices in the home energy system. Simulation results demonstrate that, by applying this strategy, the daily operating costs of a typical home energy system is significantly reduced while its operating efficiency is improved.
