An Innovative LoRa Based Health-Monitoring System

The COVID-19 pandemic has compelled countries worldwide to implement various measures to slow down the spread of the disease and reduce mortality rates. Covid-19 has reassured the need for non-traditional methods to monitor the vital signs and health conditions of patients. Motivated by technological innovations that have rushed to find solutions to besiege the corona virus, our proposal is to create a device capable of monitoring the patient’s vital signs and sending them to a cloud network that includes information about the patient’s identity and location. If vital signs were observed abnormal, an alert is sent to a nearby hospital. Then, the related crew is expected to provide an immediate first aid to the patient. Our proposed technique is not only meant for such worldwide crises, it can also be used for many other purposes, such as monitoring premature babies, and monitoring the elderly who may have multiple diseases and are often exposed to sudden relapses, such as diabetic coma and strokes.
