Groundbreaking SF6 Free Solutions Based on Vacuum Technologies
Replacement of SF<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">6</inf> in medium voltage and high voltage switching technologies is a breakthrough in electric power equipment. In this frame, a complete portfolio of switchgear and controlgear is being developed including a new range of vacuum interrupters. The purpose of this paper is to present those new innovations. The new range of load break switch with shunt vacuum interrupter technology has been developed based on a new concept of a shunt vacuum interrupter in parallel of the main circuit. The completely new range of SF<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">6</inf> free gas insulated switchgears for primary distribution is designed with same dimension, footprint, and performances that previous SF<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">6</inf> generation. Those solutions are based on new technologies including a new range of vacuum interrupters, and switching devices developed, tested, and fully validated in parallel, according to current standards.
