IoT and WSN-based Smart Parking Monitoring System
Rapid urbanization has intensified the strain on existing parking infrastructure, necessitating innovative approaches for efficient and sustainable urban mobility. This paper addresses the escalating parking challenges in urban areas worldwide by proposing a cutting-edge solution leveraging Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology and Internet of Things (IoT). The proposed system deploys WSN-based smart sensors in parking spaces to revolutionize parking management. These sensors facilitate real-time data collection, analysis, and communication, enabling a dynamic and adaptive parking system. Through mobile applications, users gain instant access to information about available parking spots, optimizing their search and reducing congestion. Beyond addressing immediate parking scarcity challenges, the proposed solution contributes to the development of smarter, more accessible, and environmentally conscious urban environments. As cities grapple with the complexities of rapid urbanization, the adoption of WSN-based parking solutions emerges as a scalable strategy to create efficient, accessible, and sustainable urban spaces. This project seeks to pave the way for a transformative shift in the global approach to urban mobility through the implementation of intelligent and connected parking solutions.
