Definition of the Minimal Creepage Distances of Vacuum Interrupters for Application in SF6-Free Gas- Insulated Switchgear
The paper is dedicated to the definition of the minimal creepage distance of medium voltage vacuum interrupters (VI) for application in SF6-free Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS). Impact of external pressure, length of ceramic and internal design was investigated. It was shown that, for GIS application, several VI characteristic have impact. Particularly, balance of ceramics length and external air pressure, is one of the mains factors for VI development to match dielectric constrains/needs.
