A Strategy for Eliminating the Effect of Rotor Position Error on Model Predictive Current Control for High Electrical Frequency PMSM

The <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$d-q$</tex> axis voltage component is affected by the change of rotor position, and the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$d-q$</tex> axis voltage component changes obviously in one control period, especially for high electrical frequency permanent magnet synchronous motors (HEFPMSM). A novel control strategy for eliminating the effect of rotor position error on conventional MPCC for HEF-PMSM is proposed. Firstly, the effect of rotor position change on <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$d-q$</tex> axis voltage component is analyzed, which proves that compensation is necessary for HEF-PMSM. Then, a new prediction plant model is proposed in the static coordinate system, which takes into account the change of the back electromotive force (EMF). Meanwhile, the position of the rotor is compensated during one-step delay compensation and current prediction. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method in this letter is experimentally verified compared with the conventional model predictive current control (CMPCC).
