Study on the Effect of Mixing Carcassone on the Performance of Composite Insulators
In high temperature and high humidity areas, algae attach to the surface of insulation equipment as living organisms. Under long-term operation of the power grid, algae naturally age in coordination with the surface of silicone rubber, affecting the hydrophobicity of the silicone rubber surface and thus affecting the flashover voltage, posing a hidden danger to the safe and stable operation of the power system. Using Chlorella vulgaris as a representative green algae, silicone rubber materials were prepared by mixing different concentrations of Carcassone algae suppressant. The microscopic morphology of the silicone rubber samples was observed, and the surface hydrophobicity of the samples was measured. The comprehensive performance of the silicone rubber samples was analyzed and studied. The experimental results show that the best effect is achieved when the Carcassone mixing concentration is 2.0wt%, which can meet the insulation material preparation standard DL/T 376–2019 in the power industry.
