Implementation of 4.0 Technology in Faculty Offices at Telkom University Landmark Tower Using PIR Sensors and Smart Switches

This research explored the application of 4.0 technology at Telkom University Landmark Tower (TULT) through the incorporation of Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors and Smart Switch to optimize energy efficiency in faculty offices. In response to the substantial energy usage of TULT particularly in lighting, an automated system was designed to control lights based on occupancy. PIR sensors detected motion to switch lights on or off when needed, while Smart Switch facilitated remote monitoring and control via a cloud-based platform. The test results showed that the system effectively minimized energy consumption, followed green and smart building standards, and supported the sustainability objectives of TULT.
