Research on Three-Phase Voltage Unbalance Compensation Control Strategy of Flexibly Interconnected Distribution Areas

With the large-scale access to distributed generations (DGs) and the diversified development of loads, the three-phase voltage unbalance in distribution areas is becoming more and more prominent. It brings challenges to the safe and stable operation of distribution areas. By virtue the power electronic equipment, the mutual power support among distribution areas, the consumption of DGs and the demand for high-quality power supply can be achieved with flexible interconnection devices (FIDs). Firstly, the structure, the mathematical model and the operation mode of FIDs are presented in this paper. Then, the three-phase voltage unbalance compensation control strategy is proposed based on the FID mutual power support function. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by MATLAB/Simulink simulation and the hardware-in-loop experiment on StarSim.
