Low-Carbon Economic Dispatch of an Integrated Agricultural Energy System Considering Biomass Power Generation

In the context of the “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals” goals, to improve the energy utilization efficiency of the integrated agricultural energy system (IAES), mitigate the impact of IAES on the weak rural distribution network, enhance the system's ability to accommodate wind power, and further improve the carbon reduction capability of IAES, this paper proposes a low-carbon economic dispatch strategy for IAES. Firstly, it considers using crop straw as fuel for biomass power generation, participating in intraday dispatch to enhance source-side flexibility. It further explores the carbon reduction potential of IAES through the negative carbon emission effect of biomass energy carbon capture and storage (BECCS) combined with a tiered carbon trading mechanism. Finally, through adjustable combined heat and power (CHP) units, low-temperature waste heat power generation devices based on the organic Rankine cycle (ORC), and air source heat pumps, the original problem is formulated as a mixed-integer linear problem with the objective of minimizing energy purchase costs and carbon emission costs. The CPLEX commercial solver is used to solve the problem, and the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is validated through comparisons across multiple scenarios.
