Eccentricity Error Analysis of Stacked PCB Rogowski Coils
Rogowski coils based on printed circuit boards (PCBs) are hard coils, having the advantages of uniform conductor distribution, good parameter consistency, and small size compared with traditional Rogowski coils. Restricted by the PCB production process, the Rogowski coil thickness of a single PCB is small, and the sensitivity is low. Moreover, it is impossible to realize dense winding, the measurement results are affected by the position of the conductor to be measured. In order to improve the sensitivity of PCB Rogowski coils, this article proposes a Rogowski coil in which multiple printed circuit boards of the same size are stacked together. Stacking different numbers of PCBs can get different coils heights, improving the sensitivity of PCB Rogowski coils. The eccentricity error calculation model of PCB Rogowski coil with a double half-ring structure in the case of uneven winding and non-coincidence of the centers of the two halves of the ring is established to study the influence of various factors on the measurement eccentricity error of the coil. A low-voltage and variable current experimental platform is built for experimental verification.
