Evaluation and Optimization of the OLTC: Impact on the Contamination of the Dielectric Oil in the TP01 60/22 kV Transformer of the S.E Ingenio Huancavelica
The present research work focused on addressing the excess of on-load switch (OLTC) maneuvers in the TP01 Transformer of the Ingenio Huancavelica Substation from 2021 to 2023. This research used a quantitative, applied-type, quasi-experimental design approach, where one or more independent variables are manipulated to analyze the consequences on the dependent variable, pretest/posttest with a single group. The method used is an empirical method that is based on the knowledge and insight of the researcher. The results showed the reduction from 20 to 4 maneuvers per day, complying with the standards of the Technical Standard for the Quality of Electrical Services (NTCSE) of Peru. In addition, the level of dielectric oil contamination was mitigated from 15,742 ppm in August 2021 to 3,466 ppm in August 2023. In conclusion, the proper regulation of the Tapcon 230 Mr optimizes the control in the TP01 Transformer at the S.E. Ingenio, reducing daily maneuvers, improving operational efficiency.
