Dynamic Analytical Model of Frequency Response of Pump Turbine of Pumped Storage Unit with Constant Speed

In recent years, pumped storage power stations have been developing rapidly, whose importance in maintaining the frequency safety of power grids has become increasingly prominent. The water pump turbine, as an important part of the pumped storage unit, participates in the frequency response of the working process in which the parameters will change dynamically with the change of working conditions. Therefore, in this study, a method of establishing a dynamic analytical model of the frequency response is considered, reflecting the influence of external parameter changes on the frequency response characteristics of water pump turbine more obviously.

Abstract

In recent years, pumped storage power stations have been developing rapidly, whose importance in maintaining the frequency safety of power grids has become increasingly prominent. The water pump turbine, as an important part of the pumped storage unit, participates in the frequency response of the working process in which the parameters will change dynamically with the change of working conditions. Therefore, in this study, a method of establishing a dynamic analytical model of the frequency response is considered, reflecting the influence of external parameter changes on the frequency response characteristics of water pump turbine more obviously.
