Dissipative Soliton Generation on All Normal Dispersion (ANDi) Mode-Locked 1- μm Fiber Laser Using MoS 2 /ZnO Composite on a Side-Polished Fiber
The generation of dissipative soliton has been proven to have a significant impact due to its higher pulse energy than conventional soliton. This report uses a novel 2D material, which is a molybdenum disulfide/zinc oxide (MoS2/ZnO) composite deposited on a side polished optical fiber to produce dissipative soliton mode-locked pulses, having a repetition rate of 28.7 MHz. The optical spectrum has a center wavelength and 3-dB bandwidth of 1028 nm and 3.2 nm, respectively, in a normal net cavity dispersion. The composites provide a better performance when compared with MoS2 alone.
