O DIREITO À EDUCAÇÃO E O FLUXO MIGRATÓRIO: UM OLHAR SOBRE A REDE MUNICIPAL DE ENSINO DE DOURADOS-MS

Brazil has experienced a significant change in its international migration profile in recent decades, with an increase in flows from neighboring countries as well as from African and Asian continents. This context demands extensive discussions and interventions concerning the reception network, especially regarding the guarantee of human rights at the federal level, including the right to education. Thus, the objective of this study is to analyze the issue of the right to education in the context of international migration in the Municipal Education Network (REME) of Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul (MS). For this purpose, a theoretical-documentary methodology based on a qualitative approach was adopted. The study points out that migration, whether forced, for refuge, or cross-border, illustrates the complexity of this contemporary phenomenon and, consequently, the need for multifaceted approaches to address the different groups in movement. Therefore, it is reasonable to infer that there is a need to promote research that addresses the right to education in the context of local integration, considering migration flows and the adoption of intergovernmental policies to face challenges and ensure access to fundamental rights. However, it is important to highlight that codified law does not always guarantee the full realization of these rights. Continuous effort is required from governments (federal, state, and municipal), administrative bodies, educational institutions, and society at large to ensure that everyone, regardless of their origin, has access to quality and inclusive education.
