Hydroxyl‐Functionalized Polymers of Intrinsic Microporosity and Dual‐Functionalized Blends for High‐Performance Membrane‐Based Gas Separations (Adv. Mater. 51/2024)
High-Performance Membrane-Based Gas Separations In article number 2406076, Ingo Pinnau and co-workers report membrane materials for a series of plasticization-resistant, robust, and highly selective hydroxyl-functionalized triptycene-based PIMs and dual-functionalized polyimide blends. The physical crosslinking induced by strong hydrogen bonding in dual-functionalized blends forms tight polymer networks, leading to extreme size-sieving and unprecedented gas-pair selectivity.
