Shortwave Infrared Electro-Optic Frequency Combs Generation Based on Wideband Parametric Conversion
An all-fiber short-wave infrared electro-optic frequency combs (SWIR E-O combs) based on parametric amplification is proposed and experimentally demonstrated by converting the near-infrared combs into the shortwave infrared region. The SWIR E-O combs shows tunable central wavelength and spectral line spacing. Based on the simple combination of the fiber optical parametric amplifier and the Thulium-doped fiber amplifier directly pumped by C-band E-O combs, the power of SWIR E-O combs has been effectively enhanced. In addition, a section of single-mode fiber is used for pulse compression of the C-band E-O combs, and the 10 dB spectral width of the SWIR E-O combs is 17.81nm. The proposed SWIR combs with repetition rates of tens of GHz is of high interest for coherent communication and gas sensing in the SWIR region.
