INVESTIGATING THE LONG-TERM EFFECTIVENESS OF PIPELINE THERMAL INSULATION: A STUDY OF DENSITY, MOISTURE CONTENT, AND THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY
The article considers the study of thermal insulation samples in order to determine changes in its properties during operation, namely density, moisture retention and thermal conductivity. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the values of these indicators do not meet the requirements of regulatory documents. In addition, it was determined that thermal insulation samples with the highest moisture content have the worst thermal conductivity. This may be due to a change in the structure of thermal insulation due to freezing and thawing of water trapped in thermal insulation during the operation of pipelines.
