The Development of Mathematics Textbooks Based on the Integration of Science and the Qur'an in Madrasah Aliyah

This research focuses on the need for mathematics textbooks that not only meet national curriculum standards but also integrate important spiritual and religious values at Madrasah Aliyah Darut Taqwa Sengonagung Pasuruan. The purpose of this study is to understand the current condition of the use of textbooks in learning mathematics in grade X Madrasah Aliyah, develop textbooks that integrate Qur'anic science in mathematics learning, evaluate the effectiveness of the developed textbooks in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts and Qur'anic values, and get students' and teachers' responses to the use of these textbooks. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE approach (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results showed the mathematics textbook at Madrasah Aliyah Darut Taqwa Pasuruan currently lacks integration of spiritual and religious values despite students' strong religious background. This study aims to address this by integrating mathematical concepts with scientific knowledge and Qur'anic values. The textbook features a detailed analysis of student needs, with carefully designed structure and content, and includes evaluation tools such as tests and quizzes. Validated by experts in mathematics, science, and the Qur'an, the textbook meets high standards of validity in content, language, and educational media. Its implementation in the tenth grade has successfully improved students' interest, participation, and interaction in learning. Evaluation results show a high validity across all aspects, with an N-Gain score of 0.43 from field testing, indicating a positive impact on student interest and academic performance.
