Reflection of the events of the Time of Troubles of the early 17th century in the legends about the ancestors of Kayum Nasyri
This article examines the legends about Gabderazzak, the ancestor of the famous Tatar scholar and educator Kayum Nasyri (1825–1902). The legends were written down by Kayum Nasyri himself from the words of the residents of the village of Verkhnie Shirdany. An analysis of the messages from these legends allows us to conclude that they could indeed reflect some events of different periods of the Time of Troubles that took place in the early 17th century in the Muscovite state.
