Restitutions historiques relatives à un exemplaire des liturgies (Râmnic, 1767), du monastère de Râmeţi (comté d’Alba)

The study primarily refers to a copy of an old Romanian print (Liturghii, Râmnic, 1767), fully preserved in original covers, in the patrimonial collection of the Râmeți Monastery. Our main objective was to transcribe and edit the manuscript notes from its contents and to relate the meanings of these texts to the precarious historical data known up to the present time about the past of the parish and the “un-united” Church at Cheia Râmeților, from the heritage of which the volume originates. Thus, our secondary goal was to integrate the volume into the local religious life of the past, which was not entirely marginal and unimportant even in this apparently insignificant and lost village in the peripheral area of the Trascău Mountains (currently completely depopulated, unfortunately), belonging to the Romanian socio-economic and cultural-spiritual space of great antiquity and conti-nuity of the Râmeți. At the same time, reviving aspects of the cultural life of the believers from Cheia and their spiritual shepherds, we reconstruct the existing liturgical book of the wooden Church, with the Shrine of the Saints Archangels, from Cheia, from 22 May 1855, based on documentary-bibliographic sources. We also note the fact that in 1829 the population of the village was 40 families, with 172 souls.
