MOBA-Fuzzy for the optimization of DG allocation considering various static load models
The optimal location of renewable distributed generations (DGs) into an Electrical Distribution Network (EDN) has attracted major concerns from power system researchers in the present years. The main target of DG incorporation is to improve the overall system performance by minimizing power losses and improving the voltage profile. Hence, this paper proposed a hybrid MOBA-Fuzzy technique for the optimal allocation of DG in EDN, considering different static loads models. For this purpose, the Multi-Objective Bat Algorithm (MOBA) based on weight sum method was used in order to find the several optimal solutions (site and size of DG). Then, the Fuzzy Based (FB) technique is employed to find the best compromise solution, in order to obtain the minimum reactive power loss and the maximum voltage stability index. To verify the power of the hybrid MOBA-Fuzzy technique on the incorporation of the DGs in EDN, it was applied to different static loads models; residential, industrial, and commercial. The performance of the proposed algorithm was validated using standard EDN IEEE 33-bus network.
