Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory Potential of Artemisia herba alba essential Oil from South Western Algeria

This study focuses on the evaluation of the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potential of essential oil extracted from Artemisia herba-alba, an aromatic plant endemic collected in Bechar. Phytochemical analysis showed that Artemisia herba-alba essential oil exhibited a high antioxidant power, confirmed by DPPH of 2.7 ± 0.63 μg/ml. Our results underline the importance of the biological activities of Artemisia herba-alba essential oil from Bechar region, The objective is to explore the medicinal properties of this essential oil and to better understand its potential use in pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications.
