TRIBOLOGICAL ANALYSES OF A TiCN-Al2O3-COATED CEMENTEDCARBIDE-Ti6Al4V ALLOY CONTACT UNDER VARIABLECOOLING AND LUBRICATION CONDITIONS
The paper presents the results of tribological studies on the Ti6Al4V titanium alloy-TiCN-Al2O3-coatedcemented carbide contact. The experiments were conducted using a pin-on-disc tribometer, enabling theanalysis of the tribological pair interaction in a sample-counter-sample system. The tribological investigationsincluded conditions of dry friction, minimal quantity lubrication (MQL), and cooling using a nozzle. Theresults of the studies focused on the coefficient of friction and temperature at the contact area of the tribologicalpair. Additionally, the evolution of the surface layer structure of the tribological pair was evaluated usingoptical methods and SEM analysis. Tribological tests allowed for the assessment of contact characteristics ofthe process for cooperating friction pairs.
