Investigation on the Mechanical Properties of the Protective Shield in an Industrial Smart Safety Vest
Abstract This research investigates the mechanical properties of polyester fabric and Kevlar for use as protective shields in industrial smart safety vests. Through ANSYS simulations, the tensile strength, impact resistance, and hardness of these materials were analysed. The findings highlight the suitability of these materials for different industrial applications, focusing on design considerations and integration with smart technology components. Recommendations for future research include advanced material development, multi-physics simulations, and long-term durability studies.
