Prevalence and associated factors of mental health distress among hospitalized patients in general hospitals: a multi-center cross-sectional study in Iran
A considerable proportion of patients hospitalized for medical reasons also experience mental distress. Various demographic factors are associated with their mental health status. This highlights the need for integrated mental health assessments alongside medical treatment to alleviate the burden of mental disorders.
