Measurement and Evaluation of the Level of Science and Technology Finance Development in China Based on the Coefficient of Variation Method and Entropy Value Method
As the world enters a once-in-a-century period of significant change, China faces more urgent challenges than ever before from complex international political, economic, and military situations. The development of science and technology finance is of great significance for China to break through key products and core technologies. "Science and technology finance supporting the science and technology industry" is an important topic in modern economics. Currently, there is a distinct "two skins" phenomenon between finance and technology in China, which to some extent inhibits the development of the high-tech industry. To more accurately display the progress of regions in the fields of science and technology and finance, it is necessary to use a series of data to establish a comprehensive evaluation index system, and through the measurement of development level and evaluation, identify problems in the development of science and technology finance in various regions, ultimately providing relevant policy recommendations. Based on existing literature, conceptual definitions, and theoretical analysis, this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation system for measuring the level of development of science and technology finance in China. This study employs an improved entropy method to calculate the science and technology finance development index of various provinces and cities in China, thereby obtaining the regional changes in China's science and technology finance within the research time frame, which can provide basic support for formulating macroeconomic development plans.
