SUPERHYDROPHOBIC COATINGS BASED ON MODIFIED SILICA NANOPARTICLES
In this work we discuss the modification of silica nanoparticles with functional copolymers of (fluoro)alkyl methacrylates. Features of formation of composite coatings based on polydimethylsiloxane filled with modified silica nanoparticles are shown. Coatings with optimal ratio [polymer binder]:[filler] are characterized by superhydrophobic properties with wetting angles up to 167° and after 7 months of climatic tests in tropical climate are shown to retain their properties.
