Cover Feature: A CH4‐Driven Ion Cloud‐Stretched Approach Enables ICP‐<i>q</i>MS for Multiplex Single‐Cell Analysis (Chem. Eur. J. 71/2024)
Cells are heterogenous like different human individuals. Labeling cells by using lanthanide (Ln)-tagged macrophage MS2 capsid-conjugated antibody toward the corresponding cell-surface biomarkers, and stretching the ICP-generated ion cloud duration of the Ln-labeled single-cell by using CH4 in collision-reaction cell (CRC), allowed the acquisition of multi-m/z signals by ICP-quadrupole (q)-MS (ICP-(CH4-CRC)-qMS). Multiplex analysis of the Ln-labeled single cells by using ICP-(CH4-CRC)-qMS recovers their intrinsically colorful features. More information can be found in the Research Article by X. Yan, Q. Wang and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202402289).
