He enriched Azerbaijani literature and breathed new life into it with his works written in his mother tongue, both in prose and syllabic, epic and lyrical genres. In particular, his couplets, garayli, varsagi, bayati, breath and hymns written in syllabic verse became an example of the literary environment of the 16th and 17th centuries and had a significant impact on the works of the poets of the period in these genres in their native Turkic languages. As a ruler and a perfect murshid, his appeal to folk poetry forms was the beginning of a new direction and left deep traces in the literary environment of his time and later periods.
