PERAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL DAN EFIKASI DIRI TERHADAP KECEMASAN DUNIA KERJA BAGI MAHASISWA YANG SEDANG MENYUSUN SKRIPSI

The transition to the final semester of higher education is a crucial phase for students as they complete their thesis and prepare to enter the workforce. In the context of Industry 4.0, the increasing reliance on digital technology makes job searching more complex, which often triggers anxiety in students. This study examines the effects of social support and self-efficacy on work-related anxiety in final-semester students. Social support, which includes informational, emotional, and instrumental assistance, and self-efficacy, which is defined as the belief in one's ability to achieve goals, are key factors in reducing anxiety. The results showed a significant negative correlation between these two variables and work anxiety, where students with stronger social support systems and high levels of self-efficacy experienced lower anxiety in facing the workforce. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening these factors to increase students' self-confidence and adaptability, and provide valuable insights for strategies aimed at improving work readiness.
