Technological Integration Assessment for the Available Equipment of the 177 MW Power Units into the CCGT

High-efficiency combined cycles with gas turbines provide a good alternative for coal-fired power units replacement. Partial integration of existing equipment in such combined cycle would significantly reduce the investment costs compared to a new power generation unit construction. This paper examines the feasibility of deploying gas turbines to 177 MW double block power units with PK-38-4M boilers.

Abstract

High-efficiency combined cycles with gas turbines provide a good alternative for coal-fired power units replacement. Partial integration of existing equipment in such combined cycle would significantly reduce the investment costs compared to a new power generation unit construction. This paper examines the feasibility of deploying gas turbines to 177 MW double block power units with PK-38-4M boilers.
