Empirical Research on Secure Development in Agile Methods: A Systematic Literature Review
Although agile methods and secure software development often operate under different principles, the need to integrate both approaches has gained attention due to growing security concerns in software development. As a result, there has been an increase in empirical research in this area. This study aims to analyze the current state of empirical research on secure development within agile methods, focusing on the empirical methods applied, the challenges, and the findings. A systematic literature review was conducted, selecting 33 studies through defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, followed by identifying the trends and patterns in the collected data. The selected studies highlight various empirical methods used to evaluate the integration of security practices in agile environments. Common challenges were identified, providing a comprehensive view of the areas needing development.
