A Fuzzy Cognitive Map to Evaluate a Medical Context
A fuzzy cognitive map is a graph that allows the representation of knowledge. Particularly, it focuses on systems where uncertainty exists. Fuzzy cognitive maps have been applied in medicine, notably for medical diagnosis. In contrast, this paper presents a case study focused on a medical context, where we evaluate the progress of the interactions between a patient, a multidisciplinary doctor's team, and the activities involved in the patient's recovery. In the rehabilitation process, there are uncertainties when monitoring the treatment established by the medical team, so we use computer-assisted collaborative work (CSCW) to help in measuring the interactions. In this sense, nowadays, doctors do not follow a method to record the patient's medical activities per the treatment plan. Therefore, in this work, we propose a fuzzy cognitive map to monitor and evaluate the activities involved in comprehensive stroke rehabilitation.
