Design of a Mobile Application for the Dissemination of Tourist Attractions Using the Design Thinking Methodology

This paper describes the process of designing a mobile application for the dissemination of tourist attractions in the community of Villa de Tamazulapam del Progreso using the Design Thinking methodology, in the first stage (empathy) interviews were carried out with some tourists to know their needs and with this an empathy map was developed, later in the definition stage, The requirements of the software were established by identifying the user stories, in the idea phase. In the first stage (empathy) interviews were conducted with 25 tourists, to know their needs and develop an empathy map; in the definition stage, the requirements of the software were established defining the user stories; in the idea phase, brainstorming was developed to indicate the elements that the application should include, subsequently, a high-fidelity prototype was designed and evaluated considering the usability metrics: effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction, Throughout the process, feedback was obtained from users.
