Study of Electrical Losses in the Operation of Electric Transport

This report presents a study on the assessment of electrical losses in the network during the operation of electric urban transport. The one-line circuit diagram of the contact network is presented. The parameters of the transformers in the rectifier stations are given. The inductive losses in the traction rectifier substations are determined on the basis of the established schedule of the trolleys. Results are obtained for the calculated losses in cable feeder lines and in medium voltage transformers. The mode of operation of the compensating stations for reactive energy is analyzed. Conclusions and recommendations are made.

Abstract

This report presents a study on the assessment of electrical losses in the network during the operation of electric urban transport. The one-line circuit diagram of the contact network is presented. The parameters of the transformers in the rectifier stations are given. The inductive losses in the traction rectifier substations are determined on the basis of the established schedule of the trolleys. Results are obtained for the calculated losses in cable feeder lines and in medium voltage transformers. The mode of operation of the compensating stations for reactive energy is analyzed. Conclusions and recommendations are made.
