New Applications of Principal Component Analysis and Coherency in Ultrasound Phase Aberration Corrected Echo Imaging

In order to realize precise human ultrasound imaging, we have been developing a phase aberration correction method using the cross-spectral phase gradient method and the iterative phase matching method. In order to further improve the spatial resolution and contrast of the images, we apply PCA and coherency as additional processing and report the results of confirming their effectiveness on the agar phantom experiments.

Abstract

In order to realize precise human ultrasound imaging, we have been developing a phase aberration correction method using the cross-spectral phase gradient method and the iterative phase matching method. In order to further improve the spatial resolution and contrast of the images, we apply PCA and coherency as additional processing and report the results of confirming their effectiveness on the agar phantom experiments.
