Agrovoltaics Systems Across in Europe and Across the World
One of the most important nation of European Union, Italy, declared a new law in 2021 by traspositioning the RED II (Reneawable Energy Directive) UE Directive 2018/2001. The decarbonisation target, foreseen by the 2030 Agenda, needs to achieve a new compromise to preserve environment and landascape's respect. So, Agrivoltaics (agrophotovoltaics, agrisolar, or dual-use solar) is the new trend for the sustainable development of European nations based on the dual use of land for solar energy production and agriculture. In all cases, agrivoltaic systems constitute possible virtuous and improved solutions compared to the creation of standard photovoltaic systems by witness an outstanding equilibrium between energy production by solar reneawble source and agricultural production. The author of this presentation was encharged in 2022 to design a big agro-photovoltaics plant in south of Italy, Puglia Region, including the production of green hydrogen by means of electrolyzers directly fed by solar photovoltaics. The relator, Mr. Francesco Paolo Lamacchia, will show guidelines and operational rules for the best replication of different agrovoltaics systems across in Europe and across the world.
