Analysis of Company's Logistics Performance by Using Maturity Model Approach: A Case Study at a Company in Indonesia

The urge for sustainable manufacturing requires industries to have more efficient workflow throughout the supply chain. One of the critical aspects is a cohesive and apparent logistics system. In its effort to develop an integrated logistics system, the industry needs to measure its existing logistics process capability. One way, among others, is to review the maturity of each process by using a method called a maturity model. The objective of the research is to assess the level of maturity of the logistics business process in a company that produces furniture, as well as to suggest improvements for maturity value under 3. The method of maturity model used in this research is the Logistics Maturity Model (LMM). From the result, it could be concluded that four logistics processes have value under 3. Following the results of the LMM assessment, two strategies are designated for improvement, one of which is a short-term improvement strategy that is focused on the upgrades towards four logistics processes with a value of under 3, and the other is a medium-term strategy designated to focus on the improvements after the implementation of the short-term plan.
