The Influence of Approximating the Mechanical Characteristics of a Hyperelastic Vibration Amplifier on Its Dynamic Properties

The results of the model studies presented in the authors' works indicate that incorporating an additional oscillator in the energy recovery system, functioning as a mechanical amplifier for the external load, positively influences the energy recovery capability. From a theoretical standpoint, its design can be based on a linear oscillator. However, much better results are achieved when its mechanical properties are represented by nonlinear characteristics. In the case of nonlinear oscillators, harmonic components are excited over a wide range of variability, allowing for the possibility of obtaining a solution characterized by a stable orbit encircling all potential wells. The computer simulation results presented in this paper illustrate the influence of approximating the mechanical characteristics of a hyperelastic vibration amplifier on its dynamic properties, which may facilitate the subsequent analysis of an energy harvesting system based on a hyperelastic mechanical vibration amplifier.
