Multi-Timescale Operation and Planning for Electricity-Hydrogen Integrated Energy System
This paper investigates the planning and optimization of operations for an electricity-hydrogen-integrated energy system (EH-IES) to achieve the consumption of RESs and multiple load demand's supply. To deal with the mismatches between RESs and load demand in different timescales., a hybrid storage system including battery, heat and hydrogen storage is applied to EH-IES. Also, a multi-timescale operational strategy is proposed to coordinate these storage devices. Case studies in southeastern China's IES verify the effectiveness of our planning approach. Compared to the system with single battery storage, the usage of hydrogen storage could significantly increase economic benefits and the consumption of RESs. Moreover, the results reveal that the proposed multi-timescale operational strategy lowers equivalent annual costs by at least 21.3%.
