Power Minimization for Ultraviolet Ad-Hoc Network with Scattering Enhancement Layer
To increase the connectivity among the nodes in an ultraviolet (UV) ad-hoc communication network, a network architecture incorporating a scattering enhancement layer (SEL) is proposed. We define an optimization problem focused on reducing transmission power and compared the minimum spanning tree performance of networks without and with the SEL. Furthermore, assuming that the nodes in the ad-hoc network follow a poisson point process, we investigate the mean transmission power of the network under different node densities. Simulation results demonstrate that incorporating the SEL can reduce the transmission power, thus enhancing network connectivity efficiently.
