Random Access Beam Hopping Management Scheme for the Next Generation LEO Satellite Internet
This paper presents a beam configuration of the low orbit (LEO) satellite Internet beam hopping scenario. Based on this configuration, the challenges in applying the 5G NR FR2 random access process to the beam-hopping scenario are carefully analyzed. To address these challenges, a random access process based on signaling and service beam collaboration is proposed. Furthermore, a congestion control strategy with load prediction is designed based on the proposed random access process. Finally, the signaling and service beam management strategies based on pre-allocation and service request volume priority are designed.
