Time Difference of Arrival Localization Method Based on Direction Finding
Localization plays a very important role in the contemporary information society. In practical localization scenarios, there is usually no such ideal environment. Multipath environment often occur. This paper proposes a Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) localization method based on direction finding, which uses a main receiving station with direction finding function and multiple single channel receiving stations to receive the radiation source signal simultaneously. The main path signal can be obtained after coherent signal direction finding and null processing at the main receiving station. By using the correlation between the main path signal and the signals of other stations, the accurate time differences can be estimated and the radiation source can be located. This method has high application value in some localization scenarios such as urban and mountain environments.
