Performance Analysis of Selection Underwater PLC-FSO/RF Communication System
In this paper, a selection underwater power line communication (UPLC) and hybrid free-space optical/radio frequency (FSO/RF) system is studied, where the connection between the UPLC link and the hybrid FSO/RF link is through a decode-and-forward (DF) relay. More specifically, we assume that the hybrid system transmits the same data with the same data rate over both links simultaneously. New closed-form expressions for the outage probability (OP), the average bit-error-rate (ABER), and the average channel capacity (ACC) are derived for the system. Finally, simulation results are provided to verify our analytical results.
