Stratigraphic revision of the Upper Cretaceous in a part of the Central Balkan Mts. (Bulgaria)
Seven stratigraphic sections have been studied to revise the Upper Cretaceous successions in a part of the Central Balkan Mts. New data on the petrography of the sediments is given. Also, preliminary calcareous nannofossil results suggest that the chronostratigraphic extents of the studied lithostratigraphic units are wider than previously thought, reaching up to at least the upper Maastrichtian.
