Implementation of the fuzzy mamdani method in analyzing the level of flood vulnerability in Pangkalpinang city

Abstract Development in large cities often has quite large impacts such as flooding. Limited information regarding floods has resulted delays in responding to natural flood disasters, including in Pangkalpinang. Therefore, this research aims to analyze predictions of flood vulnerability in Pangkalpinang using the Fuzzy Mamdani method. The Fuzzy Mamdani method is one of the methods in Fuzzy Logic that can be used in flood prediction systems and its most often utilized because in its application it has the simplest structure. Of course, in this case we also use a software system, namely Matlab software. In this research, the data used are data on population density, area altitude, and rainfall taken from BPS (Central Statistics Agency) website and Rain Hazard data taken from BNPB (National Disaster Management Agency) website. After conducting research, the MAPE was found to be 15.15906099%, which shows that the MAPE obtained is GOOD. So its concluded that the application of the Fuzzy Mamdani method can be used to determine the level of flood risk in Pangkalpinang.
