Graphene oxide modified polypropylene filter membrane for enhanced a filter of face masks
Abstract In this paper, polypropylene/graphene oxide composites were prepared through a melt process method. Polypropylene was melted at 180 °C and then added with graphene oxide. When graphene oxide was added, graphene oxide was encapsulated on the polypropylene surface through hydrogen bonds. This event shifted the degradation temperature to 169 °C. This membrane has a pore size of 0.17 μm. This research provides a new and simple material to prepare a mask filter membrane that is effective in absorbing particulate matter and is environmentally friendly.
