iBiyahe: A Commuter's Public Transport Route Checking System
iBiyahe, an innovative capstone project, seeks to tackle the challenges faced by commuters when navigating through public transportation routes. Commuters commonly experience inefficiencies, time wastage, and inconvenience caused by the absence of accurate and real-time information on public transport routes. The research aims to accomplish three objectives: (1) Develop an application with a real-time map feature displaying public vehicle locations; (2) Develop a module providing real-time traffic information for improved travel routes and a better commuter experience; and (3) Integrate the application seamlessly into the existing technological infrastructure of the public transportation sector. The development of iBiyahe involved the use of Agile Methodology, which encompasses software requirements, development, testing, deployment, and feedback. The quantitative research methods was employed, including survey research, exploratory testing, GPS testing, interruption testing, and user acceptance testing. The findings of the user acceptance testing indicate the successful development of iBiyahe as a transport route-checking system. The respondents confirmed that iBiyahe effectively caters to the need for transport information and improves the overall efficiency in locating or tracking Jeepneys. iBiyahe is a system that offers valuable information and features, transforming the way commuters navigate through public transportation networks. With its potential for scalability and real-world impact, iBiyahe paves the way for a future where commuting becomes a hassle-free and enjoyable experience for all.
